I couldn’t squeeze what I needed out of this last tank, headwinds for the To home commute all week. Pulled a 51.35 mpg tank which puts me just shy of passing Tom for third! When I was filling that tank I should have stopped at 4.4 gallons, DOH!

Congratulations to all and best of luck in the current challenge!

Good Job Damionk, TomMig, Drummerboy and all the others in C. We’ll see who wins this time around… No more Mr. NiceGuy.

I did a partial fill to finish off the challenge, and had a good half-tank. I met my personal goal for the challenge (43MPG). Thanks to all for pushing me to be more efficient!

Now for the summer challenge (I'll go for middle of the pack in div A). This will be made harder by the fact that my driver's side window is stuck in the up position....

I was sitting at 42.3 with the chance to push that up a little, until the g/f wanted to take a trip. I was in too much of a hurry to debate her on it. She dropped it down to the 41.3 I ended up with. She did try though, she attempted P&G, but was doing it below the speed where my car can profit from it. Oh well.

Nice work, Larry! Unless I had a surprise fill, I wouldn't quite touch that. I have 71.8 / 700 miles right now, which would be 214.5% to your 214.85. Since you would have the win either way, I'm going to roll it into the Challenge VI.

Congratulations on the win, and with FANTASTIC numbers, too. And... with your wife driving part of the time. You truly deserve this one.

Dang, I was hoping you would put it in, if only to make it even closer. Also, I think we are in a race to see who gets the first 70 mpg tank. :) You could'a taken that away at least!

I will always strictly fill up date-to-date.

Correct me if I am wrong, but CobraPond could still take if if he add another good tank at the last minute.

I did have better pure mpg than you did. ;) Of course, I was the only driver, too.

Cobrapond - If he threw down a 75 mpg tank, he just might take it. I think he goes for distance tanks, though.

    1) I'm kind of going for bragging rights with this one. 850 miles is in the bag, and 900 if I want to push it.
    2) My car gets better mileage as the tank runs down. 61 mpg at Full-plus, and 63 mpg at a quarter tank. I try to exploit that fact.
    3) I will be getting that 70 tank. Just another week or so to go.
    4) I managed to entirely skip May this way. :D

(Sorry for the delay, I fall asleep yesterday evening ;)

Entered my last log for Spring challenge. As said previously, I improved my average, but didn't improve my best tank.

Congrats to nissynis, you win the div B.

Let's go for the Summer challenge in div A...

Is there a reason that I can't post any replies to the results?

Not sure about that. Let me check.

update: hmmm. I'm able to post a test reply.

I thought I had tried posting a reply yesterday. I did find it odd that there were still no replies to it. Oh well.

Congratulations to everyone. It's not just the winners that won. All of us who participated learned a lot about our cars and our driving conditions, so we're all winners.

Thanks, Andrew, for your time and effort in herding cats - er - managing the competition ;)
