    Hi All:

After selling the 18 Elantra ECO and winding down my private rides in the 17 Sonata Hybrid Limited trim, the big girl still proves she has an A-Game. My first Kilo-Tank in 2 years since the rideshare study began while completing 2 San Diego to LAX RT runs and 4 San Diego airport RT runs plus hundreds of miles or Marian and I doing our std. errand stuff. She would drive it down and I would drive it back up again. ;)

In any case, with new 17" OEM tires - $403 from Discount Tire, I drove her down to just 18 miles DTE before refueling at a Costco in San Diego. The actual miles is 1.2 percent higher than indicated. 50.8 mpg indicated was 51.9 mpg actual top off to top off. These Sonata Hybrids hold a lot of fuel!

Today , about 48 deg F , but a nice tail wind helped me.
35.1 miles , 62.1 MPG. Tank is slowly climbing , but I did not have a scribble-stick in the car
    to record the numbers.
I can only dream of the kilotank. Best I've done in this car is about 755 miles.
But I never top it off and don't really know how much fuel is left when the last pip starts flashing.

Wayne, that IS a lot of fuel. I'm getting similar MPG, but my tank is half that.

I'm working from home today with the kids on school break.
