"Just" another 70, Edwin?
My tires are rated 51 psi max, so 60 is only a little high.
Couple of drives over the week in my car:
51.7 / 9.6
47.0 / 9.5
60.0 / 4.5 to mother's
43.4 / 4.3
Tank up 0.5 at 46.2 (FCD 48.8) / 175.8 / Range 495 . Fuel gauge F_«««|««««E .
Saturday we had a run out to the Peak District in the Jazz//Fit to do a bit of walking, pretty hilly going:
46.7 / 24.1
Came back a slightly different longer way, wow! Net downhill of course:
63.9 / 27.2
54.5mpg for the trip
We did a 10.9 mile walk with the dog
Did a load of cycling last week while I was off work totalling over 180 miles
Yes, Andrew. But I take the lazy route (HEV). My Yokohama rim protectors that came with this car are only rated for 44 psi. Currently running 45F/42R. One of the Yoko's was destroyed by some road hazard on NYE and was replaced by some no-name tire that they assured me was LRR. About 16K miles on that one , 52K on the others. It will be a long time ( maybe another two years ) before I buy tires.
Gord , I was doing about 200 miles a week when I was on "vacation" for the entire summer of 2013. That was a great summer !
