I've got about 35 miles to drive the xB tomorrow. Then the Agent is taking it to her mothers. May let her finish off the tank and fillup for the last day of the challenge. Couldn't come at a better time. Put a hitch on the xB, new tires on the boat trailer, and my trailer wiring for the xB came in today. Going to use it to drag my boat to the lakes around here this summer. It's a small 135 lb, 12' sail boat. I see the Australian version of the xB Toyota says can pull 1100 lbs, so I should be good with my boat. Wont do any record breaking mpg #s pulling, but it should be better than the van and probably the truck too.
My number is set, I have not reached LFL yet so I will not have to fill until Monday ot Tuesday. But the number starting off the next challage will be AWSOME! tank = 9.56 gals used (no LFL light yet, but I would think it will be on during the trip home) 544.7 miles driven above E (9.8% left) (still DTE~604 might not get this one, but I could get some gas and carry it to get my next goal of a 600 mile tank.) Estimates form the numbers before fill 544.7 miles /9.56 gals = 56.98 MPG 56.98 / 28 *100 = 203.5% over EPA.
Yup, I'm also done. Unless I wind up driving over 150 miles in the next 24 hours, which I don't see doing. -soD
Alright everyone, the challenge is closed. Please post any lingering tanks and please don't clear your logs for a few days if you recycle them, so I can take and post a screen shot of the final standings. Also, sign up for Summer 2012 Fuel Economy Challenge 18.
entering my last fill up now. I've noticed something here. For a few tanks the normal station I was getting gas at wasnt open at 5:30 AM so I had to use a different station. Each of those tanks resulted in lower FE edit - if it matters, the sign up sheet on page one should show E10 next to me. The ratings in my log for this FE are adjusted for it.
Uh-oh. I spaced it and deleted my Challenge 17 profile. The total for me was 46.5 MPGus, 145.43% EPA. Sorry about that! -soD
