Second fill - a disappointing 48.72 over 697.2 miles - I wanted 50 - UG was a bit higher - have adjusted calibration factor.
Another tankful of dinosaur and corn bites the dust. 455 miles/46.23 mpg. My UG had me convinced that I had a way better tank going. At least it was above average. Kirk
Same here Kirk - I know I've been doing a bit more P&G and loads more gliding in 'N' so I can only attribute the discrepancy to that. At least my long term average had gone up too!
Another one bites the dust. 48.702/535 miles. UG was 1/2 mpg low this time, after being 2 mpg high last tank (did not adjust it). At least this time it was a happy surprise. Kirk
702.3 mi @ 54.65 mpgUS (SGII @53.4 mpgUS) 1130,0 km @ 4,304 L/100 (FCD @4.4 L/100) No change for my challenge POE, but got great fun despite higher traffic and colder temperatures. Can Dennisius be added to 1st page (in div A so I'll have the record of lowest div A POE ) as I asked end of October ? Have fun, Denis.
The delay isn't a problem Andrew, except you picked up the wrong log This one is the one for the FE Chall: +43% is better than +17 ;-) Also can you move it to "quarter-year fe challenge" category ? I'll recycle it at each challenge. Why did you removed Megane FE Chall. log from FE 15 ? This is my last Elite tag until I reach 57mpgUS in Dennisius... Thanks in advance, Denis.
Just updated my fuel log - what a shame... It doesn't look good ;/ Cold temps (around 0*C) and lots of short trips make a difference
Lol, yeah. Had to stop hypermiling on RT 213 for while because car kept passing me on SOLID lines nearly cutting me off road repeatedly. Finally LAST car LITERALLY drove me off road, then massive cars followed, scared me lifeless. I still hypermile between my work and bridge (RT 213), but averaged to 45-50 mpg, a crushing blow to my motivation. I need to FIGURE out a way to continue hypermiling on RT 213 without pissing off the drivers behind me. They want 70 on 50 mph PSL, following me going 40-45 mph was intolerable to them.
Well, in that case I would stick as close to 50 as possible. YOU are NOT responsible for their behavior. I am sorry to hear of your experience and glad you are alright. I would almost say hold your lane and let them hit you if they may... they'd be in the wrong. I, of course, would never seriously suggest such a thing though... Is there any other route you could take? I hate people sometimes.
Are you able to use High speed P&G with the traffic waves? This may work better during that steach of the commute. Pulsing to 55 and gliding back to 45/40. Then pulsing back up just as the next wave comes up. That way your difference in speed is not as great and you it is easier for them to find a gap and move around you. Welcome back, and sorry to hear about the aggressive driving. have you also notified the authorities of possiblities of increased revenue by actually inforcing the spead limit???
Agreed, Andrew. Jason, you are doing a fantastic job! It is looking like I may actually manage to finish this tank during the challenge time. I'm down to 4 bars out of 20 at the moment... and expect my average to drop quite a bit before I finish it out.
