When I was a kid on my bicycle, I would first go in the direction of the wind. Two or three times, when I got to my farthest distance & started pedaling home, the wind direction changed, & I biked in both directions WITH THE WIND!!! ////// 12-4-21: PS….Again when I was a kid, my earliest strategy was to first travel into the wind, so I would be able to travel home with the wind. But, as in the post above, a couple of times the wind changed & I had to pedal both directions against the wind……did not like that at all! That’s why I changed my strategy to initially travel with the wind.
I think the record temperature for Alaska is 100degF. The record for Seattle WAS 103degF in 2009, but this year it was 106degF. It was supposed to hit 111degF the day it set its new record, but on-shore cooling started & the temperature never went any higher.
