38.7 - 4 mi. yesterday morning. -7*F (-22*F wind chill) Left the car at work. Had to have my work van to go to a job first thing. Car was thoroughly chilled by this afternoon. Engine was plugged in but the rest was really stiff. Had several errands after getting home so I did manage some decent numbers by the end of it.
    48 - 17.3 mi. -2*F, 12 mph SE wind (-20*F wind chill). Total of 5 trips over 2 hours.

Tank showing steady at 46.1 - 326 mi. Considering the weather, if that is even close to accurate, I'll be pleased.

Today , 22 deg F , wind S9. 35.1 miles , 58.68 MPG. Tank is at 412.2 miles , 57.85 MPG. Expecting snow tonight , and I have to (want to) drive tonight.
We might take Linda's RAV4 because I don't like the Prius with these tires.

Had to go to work this morning and a funeral this afternoon. 2-3" of snow and 12- 15 mph wind made for an unpleasant day to be out and about. -22 to -25*F wind chill.
Soft snow on the road this morning became rough packed snow and glazed icy patches this afternoon.
    36.5 - 4 mi. to work, 44.7 - 4.1 mi. home.
38 - 4.5 mi. to the funeral with the family, 46.9 - 4.7 mi. home.
31.9 - 2.1 mi. round trip to the grocery store.

Lots of meh. Truck's at 7.1mpg...that's alright I guess. It's been everything from 70* to 9* with snow drifts in the last 5 days, so I can't say I'll complain too loudly about it.

I recovered a 42mpg tank in the Civic due to the highlight of this report, which is that I think I'm getting the hang of driving this thing, and am able to more consistently crank out nice numbers on shorter and shorter trips. I get one week with this thing every four weeks, so I don't get as much practice as I'd like. Also finally bit the bullet and got a fresh battery: a bit shy of a year in, and it finally left me begging for a jump start. Interestingly, it seems to have had some actual effects on driving. It idles more sanely, and seems to run a bit more efficiently.
  6. Can tell I don't get out of rural Michigan much. Driving around Chicago city streets yesterday evening. Stress level thru the roof, stomach going bonkers. Got in, got what I came for, and got out. Get back on the express way and calmed back down.
Geez I need to get out more.
Nobody here wants to see my mom numbers for that.

Hopefully I'll beat the next storm back home.

That's the way I am with Boston or any large city.

    Good luck!

Get your Flintstone brakes ready. Ought to get better traction with your boots than tires. :D
