Thanks for the encouragement. I'm thankful I get to plug in at work as well as home. My mileage would be much lower if I didn't.

  2. Same here. There are only 2 places in my parking lot that a vehicle can be plugged in at. Most staff call it 'my spot' and leave it open for me. I've found if I get into work around 7 both spots are open. If I pull in around 6:30 a couple of 3rd shifters are usually in the spots.
Plug in for about 4 hours and engine and trans will be 30-40 degrees above outside air temp

It's not really possible at this time for me to plug in. Too bad, the Prius REALLY needs that. Today , filled up at my usual Shell. Last fill was Dec 27 , I think. This tank includes the two body shops , and I'm SURE one of them left the car in ready mode for a long time , because SOC was 2/8 and fcd was.............dismal. 376.9 miles/8.148 gal = 46.26 MPG. Includes lots of snow. Today , 16 deg F , wind WSW11 , 35.2 miles , 55.15 MPG.

Made it to motorway again last night but really busy everywhere, lots of stop/start/crawl, avoided 3 way traffic lights near car sharer's again, 37°F, 7mph tailwind W:
    40.0 / 22.6

This morning, 36°F, sleet and snow, had to detour the traffic light section to avoid big queue for first time this week, 8mph headwind W gusting to 29:
    43.6 / 23.0

    Tank down 0.2 at 42.7 (FCD 45.0) / 434.1 / Range 135. Guess gauge F____|_«««E . UG steady at 44.9 / DTE 172

    Lost 4th pip @ 392 miles

Lunchtime today, 2UP, motorway route - much better, what a difference a lot less traffic makes. Sunny, 41°F, 12mph tail/crosswind WSW:
    46.8 / 22.4

Quick change then went to a pub for lunch with OH, 12mph tailwind WSW going - great run there:
    53.3 / 6.3
    41.0 / 6.4 headwind back

    Tank up 0.3 at 43.0 (FCD 45.3) / 469.2 / Range 95 . Guess gauge F____|__««E . UG steady at 44.9 / DTE 138

    Lost 5th pip @ 463 miles

I took a trip to the feed store at lunch. The animals are hungry this time of year. Mid 40's.

44.4 / 5.0 - to the store. Caught so many red lights!
50.9 / 3.2 - to other store. My dogs don't like the feed store dog food.
    45.7 / 2.1 - back to work

    Tank is at 46.0 / 460 mi. (10.0 gallons!)

Cooler here today but very mild for January.
    45.5 - 4 mi., 21*F to work this morning.
66.2 - 4.7 mi., 31*F home. Near perfect trip this afternoon. Only three stops and pretty light traffic. Plugged in early since I was out on a job all afternoon.
Still, almost too good to be true. I hope SG isn't over reporting like before and going to make a liar of me.
Tank up to 46.3 - 171 mi. It says 14 l (3.7 gal) used and showing just above 3/4 tank which is consistent with last summers tanks. That makes me really hopeful.
