I just filled up today and achieved and astonishing 19.95 mpg from combined city and country road driving. I never would have thought that this was possible getting 33% better than the epa combined rating! Especially in a gas guzzler/FSP. Just wanted to share this, what have you guys obtained in a big car like this?
Welcome and good job on 133%. If you adhere to the hypermiling techniques found here, you can likely hit 150%. The folks who wrote the articles often approach 200% of EPA.
Best run out of my last truck (2007 Silverado 3500 crew cab, long bed, srw, 2wd diesel) was something like 32 mpg. Averaging 22 in my Sierra since I bought it end of June, and about 8000 miles. Had a few trailer tows in there too. It's a 1500, double cab, 2wd, 4.3 v6.
I have a 98 GMC K1500 extended cab. I have a few tanks >20 MPG. Not bad considering my combined rating is 13 MPG.
