Filled up my tank yesterday at Getgo, seems to be my go-to station now. Something interesting that I've never done before. Filled it up after the first click! I always stopped it first. Was able to get an additional two gallons in before I stopped it! Fill-up Info Miles on tank: 290.0 Gallons (First-click): 6.455 Gallons (Full): 8.526 Calculated MPG: 44.926 MPG (WOW, BEST TANK EVER) Full MPG: 34.014 MPG I was very impressed with my car this week. I wouldn't normally fill up so early, but gas was cheap and I don't trust Thanksgiving Week!
Nice PR tank TFF Filled up yesterday as I couldn't resist the Black Friday weekend offer of 99.9p/litre - the lowest in the UK for over 5 years : Miles on tank: 279.3 miles GallsUS: 6.6 Calc. Gas prices were starting to go up, so I filled my tank. Fill up Info Miles on tank: 267.0 Gallons: 7.000 FCD MPG: 37.7 MPG: 38.143 FCD Range: 470 miles FCD Range Remaining: 200 miles Two things: One, I needed to get my tires balanced and so the last 15 or so miles had idling and such for that. Secondly, I've NEVER seen my estimated MPG be below what my actual MPG was. It's highly unusual... I didn't reset it at all this tank, except for when I filled up originally.
I've updated on the FFE to yesterday's current status. My energy economy is dropping like a rock with this cold weather. Had frost coating both the outside and THE INSIDE of the car this morning. It's going to be a rough winter ...
I can certainly see the big difference that cold weather has on my Prius. From a summer-high tank of 65 MPG to 55MPG for the last tank , and we haven't seen serious winter yet. You're in Detroit , you know what I'm talkin' about.
Probably the last fill of 2015 and this challenge! Tank Stats Miles on tank: 551.1 GallsUS: 12.68 Calc. MPG : 43.46 Calc. UltraGauge was pretty close so I'll leave it as is for now.
Well, my latest fill was even lower than last time's "lowest ever", so the contest is out of my grasp this time. I blame the new short commute. But at least it's lower miles and fuel consumed. 561 mi 11.129 gal 50.4 mpg (sg said 52.6 )
Last tank of the year!!!! I guess I'll log it as soon as the logs are migrated? 28 days on this tank, with an elapsed (engine on) time of 16 hours and 37 minutes (average of UG and trip computer figures). 80% city driving. 72 trips. Average trip length of 6.5838 miles Average speed of 28 MPH (average of UG and trip computer figures). A computed 0.7672 gallons per hour average for the tank (spreadsheet figure). Cost per mile of $0.063 (spreadsheet figure), $2.269 per gallon. 12.754 gallons consumed over 474.0 (adjusted) miles for 37.1672 MPG. 2.6905 G/100M This is the 54th straight tank >400 miles! 40 Seconds per gallon fill rate until first click @ 11.2 gal, trickled in until I could see the fuel at the top of the filler neck. Oh and it was 39° and I had forgotten my coat. And any gloves. After getting back in the car, I remembered why I love heated seats so much.
Been away for some time but here are the numbers 708 miles 14.22 gals for 49.79 mpg so... I cannot find the mileage logs...
You were pretty close to 50mpg SD3_Driver - great effort, it was probably enough to take Division 2 but without the mileage logs it's going to be difficult to monitor I won't close this one or start another challenge until we have some means of keeping a record of tank stats.......
Aw man. No logs yet eh? Final tank is 543.1mi on 13.097gal (gave the car a $5 spurt of Texaco in between to economize on time). 41.468mpg, so that kills me in this one. However I filled at a different station than usual, so there might have been some fill error in there. Who knows.
I've been having issues with making ANY reply - I get errors when I use the standard "Post Reply" button. However, replying to JCP appears to be working ... Final numbers: 2789.6 mi 558.5 kWh (gas equivalent = 16.57 gal) Final FE 200.2 wh/mi 168.32 mpge
