The guy you use to hate to get behind because he drove so slow, catches you from behind :D

When a cop tailgates you in a marked Exploder, you both turn into a White Castle, and then once inside you get a lecture about "at least doing the speed limit".

    True story.

It amazes me, people seem to think of the speed limit as a minimum.
Even when I drove fast I knew I was exceeding the max speed.
All though it did not improve my patients with people doing 45 in a 55. Now I just might be that person

You should have borrowed a form and given him a ticket for tailgating.

Actually probably not a good idea given your youth, but tempting. With my gray hair I might get away with it.

I a situation like this, I would have told the cop that if I did drive right at the speed limit, there would be a good chance that my speed could accidentally increase by a few mph and then I would be driving illegally. So to play it safe, I drive well under the speed limit to keep a nice buffer between me and maximum legal speed to prevent inadvertant transgressions of the posted speed limit. Now if he would be so good as to explain what the minimum legal speed on that highway is, then I would know what speeds I could legally drive at.
