Averaged only ~57 actual mpg in a ~950-mile trip to western Kentucky and back last weekend. Weather wasn't terribly cold or snowy, but my excuses are the rain and a few short local side trips thrown in.

The average correction factor for my mpg display is holding at 0.954, where it has been stuck for a long while.

10 deg F in Elk Grove Village this morning.
    16.3 miles , fcd = 55.1 x .943 = 52 MPG.

I've been using .943 for a long time , mostly because
I'm too lazy to calculate several consecutive fill-ups.

Our turn to hit 10 deg F the next three days. Thank goodness it has been more normal/milder otherwise. I couldn't live in the cold parts of Canada or Alaska.

edit: make that 5's and 6's deg F; I just checked

Someone must have moved me without my knowing... wind chills to -20 deg F weather warning

edit: We had our first unexpected visit to the vet today with our 8 week old puppy. Sat outside in the car for a half hour while our girl got checked by the vet inside. 1.2 miles from home and the aFCD was at 10 MPG when I finally shut the engine off and forced it to use the battery. The engine kicked on when it got too full and/or charged too quickly coming off the hill we live on. Hallelujah for the heat-pump heater.

Today in the Prius ,driving from Glenview.
30 deg F in Elk Grove Village , clean dry roads.
    10.0 miles , fcd = 56.2 x .943 = 53.0 MPG.

Going to see Wonder Woman 1984 today !

Wednesday night, motorway route, crosswind N3, 44°F:
    46.8 / 21.4

Thursday morning, motorway route, tailwind E5, 46°F:
    47.1 / 21.6

Thursday night, motorway route, decent run, crosswind SSW8, 43°F:
    48.6 / 21.4

Friday morning, motorway route, marginally beat Wednesday's effort, mostly headwind, WSW7, 45°F:
    50.0 / 21.6

I'm still using 0.949 correction factor (-5.4%) so I've adjusted the indicated numbers down by this.

    Tank up 0.4 at 46.5 (FCD 49.0) / 366.1 / Range 300 . Guess gauge F___«|««««E . UG up 0.4 at 50.0 / DTE 310

    Lost pip 3 (of 8) @ 312 miles
