Welcome back to the grind :D

Filled up yesterday with 87 E10 at Amoco for $1.999.
    578.0 miles , fcd = 66.3 x .956 = 63.3 MPG.
    578.0 / 9.316 gal = 62.0 MPG.
Maybe I will use a multiplier of .935 and see how close that is.
I want to assume that the pump clicks off the same way every time.

Yesterday's trip home was good. 31.3 miles ( including stop for fuel ) ,
    fcd = 75.2 x .935 = 70.3 MPG.
This morning , 37 deg F in Naperville and Elk Grove.
    Wind N 6.
    35.1 miles fcd = 61.1 x .935 = 57.1 MPG. Ouch.
Oh well , April is the month that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.

Strange times. It's been a month since I filled up and I've only used a quarter tank.

Don't need to fill up, but a gas war tempts me to go there & fill 4 gas cans & top off for $1.39 per.

I don't drive unless I have to. Maybe one day I will resume recreational driving ,
but even then , I am more likely to take the bicycle , or Grom.

Today , 33 deg F in Naperville , 31 in Elk Grove. No wind.
    35.1 miles , fcd =63.9 x .945 = 60.4 MPG.
    Tank is at 109.4 miles , fcd = 67.0 x .945 = 63.3 MPG.

The work-from-home part is a natural fit for my work in software. But yes, the kids are a challenge. My wife is a teacher so she is home and handling most of that.

So I went to the gas war today. Cars on the freeway were considerably less than normal, altho SUVs & pickups were well represented. Semi's were plentiful, so business products are being transported (there wasn't a TP shortage, fer sure). I went over a mtn pass. Snow in the canyons was lovely & had some flurries. Temperatures varied over a 22degF range. Those Arctic fronts are moving south, altho its tougher for those fronts to funnel through our mountain passes.

All the planets were aligned , conditions were good , and I was lucky.
Still not sure how good my multiplier is , I need to add up a few tanks and recalculate.
But I think .945 may be more accurate than .956 ( old multiplier ).

Ah, Scenic Route #2, again. Alright!!
Playing Bach's, Brandenburg Concerto #2? Experimenting with Rachmaninoff's Symphony #2? Or Borodin's Symphony #2? Maybe Vaughn Williams,"The Lark Ascending" (sorry... not "The Lark Ascending #2)? All music for "Good to go motion on Scenic Route #2" !

Your old factor perfectly matches what I get averaging over any several consecutive tanks (±.002), or overall lifetime.

I'm back at work after 14 days working at home so yesterday drove Daughter's Fiat 500 to work and filled it up for her and to give it a run as it hasn't been used while she was self-isolating. The FCD doesn't seem to function when FASing so not sure how accurate the numbers are as I did a few FAS's and the FCD didn't budge!
    To gas station - 51.9 / 13.7
    To work - 56.2 / 5.6

Today drove wife's Hyundai i10 to work and filled that up as well.
    To gas station - 52.9 / 13.9
    To work - 68.5 / 5.6 - plenty of FAS :D

Gas prices have fallen about 20% in the UK since end January.

Gord, you're such a gentleman filling up your daughter's and wife's cars. :)

Those were some pretty nice trip MPGs.
