    Today , 48 deg F , calm. 35.1 miles , 59.80 MPG
Tank is at 125.2 miles , 63.43 MPG. Leaving Planet fitness 40 minutes earlier was
a bad idea. It put me in the most stressful part of traffic. Then when I got home ,
riding the bike didn't seem like such a good idea. Today , I will ride the stationary bike.
I can READ while I pedal and not worry about being killed or maimed.

That brings the tank up to 49.4 / 65 mi.

Been incredibly busy at work plus Silver Wedding Anniversary party at weekend so missed quite a few days numbers. All commutes, all on my own:

When gas prices bottomed, I really scoured gasbuddy to find the lowest prices. Tho quite distant from me, the "bottom-dwelling" stations were in my best scenic drive region. So I was saving 30 to 40+ cents per gallon & loving my drives. But it was all temporary! As gasoline leapt upward (yeah, western Washington state gas prices soar), the low-ball prices at my "newly found" stations leapt even faster. Now, those low-ball stations join the other stations, as gas explodes out-a-sight.

After checking out the crime scene in the daylight , I can see that it was a Canada goose.
Bigger than a racoon and in NO danger of extinction. I have never hit one , intentionally or accidentally ,
but they are known for walking into traffic ( in groups) and demanding right-of-way.

I found a good, additional source of weather and in particular, surface wind info. See uavforecast dot com. Hourly forecasts for the next 24 hours are free. Subscription fee for additional info seems high to me, a bit all or nothing. I'd contribute at a lower level. The free feature set is all I really need.

Edit: also accidentally posted to the city vs. highway mpg topic

Not really able to drive all too much. Took the car in for service for a noise and a code. Transmission needed to be replaced. Should be done by today. All covered by warranty, thankfully! :)

How inconvenient, though! Are you cursed with Fords? :( Our C-MAX Energi was trouble free during our 3-year lease.

No warranty for me. :( My ABS control module is dead. The dealer is quoting me $2400 total. I found the part elsewhere for $1500, so they're not joking.

    Wow.

I think I'm cursed in general tbh lol. I've never had a car working properly! Sorry to hear about your ABS module. Those are super expensive, but it will save your life. Absolutely worth it if you weren't looking at replacing the vehicle.
