Today , 46.5 deg F ( brrrr) , no wind. 35.0 miles , 61.94 MPG. Tank is at 593.1 miles , 69.75 MPG. Going to a party in Wisconsin after work today , will have to fill up there or on the way home. Highway driving , unfamiliar roads.Probably less than a 70 tank. :( Then I don't go back to work until the 11th. Both of my daughters are in town , so I will spend some time with them.

Been a while...have been busy in all the wrong ways (and some of the right ways)...in the meantime, my car sat for a full 10 weeks as I worked and spent my normal week break in Rochester, NY with the wife as she spent the summer with her sisters there.

I did finally pick it up...43.43mpg after filling up at home. I then carted the kids around and generally just enjoyed driving stick, if not exactly doing the hot shoe thing, so 34.83 for my lapse in discipline wasn't as bad as it could be.

Next tank should be better...tires are fixed :)

Well, I've hardly driven the Echo in the last three weeks. I've been biking to work and on vacation for a week. the car spent most of that time up on blocks while I tried to patch the rust enough to get it through another winter. The drivers side turned out okay but it's all hidden under the body kit anyway so the passenger side is just getting some structural patching. I couldn't jack it up from the jack points anymore so I had to do something. Almost done it though.
I did take it down and gassed up last Tuesday since gas was going up due to the storms in Texas. Price jumped to $1.069/ liter (4.04/gal) Wednesday so it was worth doing a short fill. As I feared, the SG was way over reporting but it was still my best tank yet at 52.96 mpg and 432 miles. :) I doubt I will beat it this year as fall weather will be coming soon. Mornings are already in mid 40's F.
Hey Gord, I noticed we share a Birthday.

Wow Gord, your amazing. I think I've only biked that far once in my life, when I was like 17 and it took me all day. I certainly couldn't do it now (I turned 55 this year) or at 51. I do enjoy it though, the little bit I get to do.

Saturday went to the coast for the day, stopped for a slightly early fill-up near the seaside as it was a good price and gas is supposed to be going up in the UK this week after Storm Harvey.
A road was closed on my normal route which resulted in an about turn and a detour down some horrible lanes:

    49.8 / 55.6 to gas station

    Tank Stats

    Miles on tank: 598.5 miles
    GallsUS: 12.546
Calc. MPG : 47.71 MPG - This would have been over 50 without the effects of the service!
Calc. Range: 49.4 miles (allowing for extra in tank)
    FCD Range: 35
    FCD MPG : 50.1 MPG (5.07% over-report)
    UG MPG : 47 MPG (1.54% under-report)
    No. of trips: 28
    Average trip length: 21.4
    Average speed 31mph
Driving time on tank: 19hrs 32mins
    Days since last fill: 32
    Commuting: 33.0%
    Ave. Temperature: 64.8°F
Ave. no. of people in car: 2.46
    Pmpg for the tank: 135.7

Average over-report isn't changing much now after 28 tanks so I'll use 5.4% going forward unless it changes drasticly.

    47.7 / 6.6 Fill-up to seaside
54.0 / 68.2 Back home. Came back a longer (more motorway) route I've never been on to avoid the road closure - great run :D!

    Tank at 53.2 / 74.8 / Range 630 . Guess gauge F««««|««««E . UG at 44.0 . DTE520
