I snapped this picture last Thursday (8/9/2012) while stopped at a light in my LEAF (it was NOT Photoshopped!). It was noteworthy enough that I just had to devote a thread to it. Who can come up with the best tagline???
In all reality, Daddy is probably paying for the car, and maybe the gas too. No way they make enough doing deliveries to pay for that.
Great taglines, everyone! Keep 'em coming. Mike, this vehicle pulled out from a side street well before I got to the light and I was only behind it for a few seconds before the light changed and it zoomed off out of sight. I don't know who was driving but I can tell you my jaw dropped when I saw the sign on top!
My unemployed grown kids and their children moved back in with us, social security just doesn't cut it anymore.
I wonder what the delivery charge is?? Pizza-Hut here is $2.50 and I am so close it is worth it to pickup myself.
Problem is the "delivery fee" you pay when you order your pizza does not go to the driver. Its just an extra profit center for the pizza place.
The customer decided that, just this once, he'd not call to complain about the lack of hot peppers on his pizza.
It depends on the place. I always ask both the store and the driver who gets the $. The mom-and-pops all seem to give it to the driver. Not too many chains around here and the mom-and-pops to a better job anyway.
Wow Porche SUV to deliver pizza The S- that is the "cheapo Cayenne" right- measly $60,000 or so? Not the twin turbo $90,000 Cayenne?? Imagine what the payment is in $50,000 financed 5 years?? $900/mo or so?? $900/mo car note-if you put $10,000 down+ $300 insurance-$1200/mo before fuel? Best you can make- before fuel/car delivering pizza is maybe $25000 gross? I feel for this person- he must have bought that vehicle in better times. Granted a new Porche SUV is not my cup of tea-meaning it isn't on my list for when I win MEGAMILLIONS- No doubt a nice "car" but a bad choice if your job is at risk Honest work- but probably tough for him/her to swallow-big comedown from whatever he/she was doing- making barely enough to make car note insurance gas-poor guy is working for his car. In the 50's 60's young unmarried guys living at home would do that-work at gas station or pick peppers/tobacco to buy a 396 Chevelle/ 383 Road Runner/ 383-440 SuperBee etc Charlie
I really don't think this is someone who lost a better paying job and is trying to make ends meet delivering pizza. Its some spoiled brat rich kid, and daddy is paying for the car.
