Took my 2009 Escape in so they could re-program the drive-train computer. Seems like the 6 speed AT is shifting a bit better now, and that little bit of lugging is gone, when going slowly up steep hills. My Ford is only a year old, and I've already got over 2,400 miles on it! I guess is was a smart move to skip buying a Hybrid Escape.. I'm still getting 23 to 24 MPG around town, when I take it easy. And don't get stuck in traffic. (Where is this recession anyway)? I go in and buy gas about once a month.. If it's down under 1/2 tank. Not sure what the highway MPG is this summer, since I have not made any good road trips yet this year. That on my list. It would be fun to see if I can hit 40 MPG for 100 miles or so..
