I was driving to work this morning when I noticed that my Trip A odometer and mpg rating completely reset back to 0.00

I didn't touch anything and I use it to track my mileage.

Does this mean I need a SW update? I am at 9500 miles on an 08. This has never happened before.

On an '08 what? What do you drive?

I have something even stranger. Sorry if I highjack your thread. But I once had a Corsica and I saw the odo go backwards.

When was the last time you reset it? Is it possible your 12V is low?

I reset it every time I fill the gas tank so I can track my mileage. When it reset on its own, I was around 310 miles.

I don't think the 12v can be low. I have only had the car since July.

Okay... do you FAS the car?

I only FAS when I pull up to a light and the AS does not engage automatically. I do not FAS and coast up to a light.

This reset happened while I was in the middle of driving about 10 minutes after starting the car.

My commute doesn't provide much opportunity to AS anyways because its all highway.

I'm out of ideas, then.

Did the Trip B reset? Can you recover your mileage by using the full odo? I know I occasionally lose or forget to write the trip number on the gas receipt and have to squeeze it out of the full odo reading...

The trip odometer resets at 10,000 miles. It does keep info such as MPG to date, etc, but the number goes from 9999 to 0.
